Mode was founded by product designers Duncan and Kevin in late 2004 as a design consultancy providing client based design services to new and existing contacts in the UK. The desire to produce their own range of products for the home led to the emerging Mode brand of design-led gifts and interior design accessories. To compliment the design team, Alun joined 6 months later to develop the sales and marketing of the growing range of products. The products, many of which have become design icons in contemporary kitchen and homeware, combine the ultra-practical approach of trained product designers with the spirited twist so typical for British creativity.After winning the Gift of the Year award for the first of the products – Fridge Clock, Mode have gone on to receive numerous accolades for other products including international recognition with Design Plus winner and Design Preis nomination for Fridge Monkey – a must-have for the refrigerator to stop bottles and cans from rolling around.
